In the Gospel of Matthew, verses 21 to 22, Jesus tells his disciples ‘Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, “Be lifted up and thrown into the sea”, it will be done. Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive.’
And in the Epistle of James, we find that in Chapter 4, verse 2 tells us that “You have not, because you ask not”.
On the OTHER hand, in ADDITION to faith and prayer, WORKS and ACTIONS are important – more than important, they are DEMANDED from us by the great apostle and the disciple John. Paul in Ephesians told us to “expose” evil, and 1 John 3:8 states that “the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil”.
